hunters stew coming up
Well life is being so-so.
For the good things in life, I did have a PET scan again and the results of it have shown no "active" cells are vissible anymore, which is a very good thing.
I am also getting only one more chemo, which will be next week on thursday, after which the chemo part will be all over.
Then get a CT scan, and from that they will comtemplate how much and how long i'll have the radiation therapy etc.
Just glad the end is finally coming in sight, it has taken long enough already.
Last chemo didn't go so well, and probably was my dissatisfaction of it taking so long, as I decided to make a mess of everything at the hospital last week with the chemo.
Well main reason was just the pills I get, seeing i'm very bad at keeping pills inside, tend to reject them a lot.
Though it went okay till now, this time I really threw it all out unfortunately.
This amusingly resulted in the nurse stating she'd never give me another paracetamol again!
But enough of that..Off to random notes:
( fear the randomness )
( some babble about D&D characters etc. )
And lastly:

I cleaned my kitchen but still I had problems with fruit flies.
Now I know why. When I came in here somebody else lived here too. However, she's been long gone now. About two months. I never cared to open any closets save the ones I used myself. I didn't clean any closets except my own earlier. And it seems to be effective. The fruit flies are now mainly interested in the microwave (which I can't operate; I fail at microwaves), and strangely the closed below it. When I opened it I saw a fruit fly colony around an at least two months old sack of potatoes in poor condition, and some brownish stuff which was on the floor of that. I couldn't see it too well because of the fly infestation. I'm not happy about this.
Nice late present :(. Anyway, I will buy some plastic foil to build a trap now which I will place inside the infested cabinet. I will also take out the infected potato bag. An act I'm not looking forward to.
On another note; I changed the keyboard layout for my home computer keyboard to Dvorak. Though I appreciate the layout when programming, and it works good enough for IRC as well, I must confess I (temporarily) changed back to qwerty for the purpose of this journal after the first paragraph. I've used the qwerty layout for about 10 years, so it will take a while to get back to it. However, not taking in account the mental strain of figuring out where which key is, I think in two days I've got my dvorak typing speed to about 1/3 of that of my qwerty typing. I think within a week I am able to comfortably type this journal in Dvorak as well.

late
I was too late to get to the supermarket today. I was too busy hacking so I overstayed my time in Amsterdam. So I don't yet have ammonia, but I neither have problems with flies anymore, so it's not too important. Retry tomorrow.
I leave you with the path to one of my favourite songs. I just noticed it today. I think I should get my music collection fleshed out nice and properly soon.

Efteling is a NO
Sad to say that after several calls with the theme parks management the deal is off.
Just got a call from the parks manager that after looking it over with the entertainment team and the parks ceo they decided that we look to professional so if we came there the guests would see us as part of the parks entertainment and bla bla bla........ *sigh*
The odds that this would occur was bigger then they would let us in but still......
So on to another event.....Now just where and when....we'll see....

Other stuff
So what have i been up to lately.
Me, Okill and Tsanwo went to Schevening last thursday not any reason just because we tought it was fun and the beach is always a great place for clearing your mind. Especially when you bring a kite!

Tho there is a change you get dragged trough the sand and find this sand just everywhere when you get home *g* The weather was great for kiting, a tad more wind would have been cool but we had fun so that was just fine, After the kiting we took a walk to a place Okill knew where we could eat. Simones a nice place with great food! Seawolf...wolf? a wolf! I'm so gonna order that one *G*

Ow and chasing Tsanawo with a kite gives a change for great photo's and really funny sights!
The day after we went to amsterdam, first because of Okill having a Job Interview and in the evening we went to the cinema to see Kung Fu Panda. But between those 2 events we had some spare time so we went to Amsterdam city, both dutch but both never actually been there, it was fun to see the chaos down there and made us realise that it was no place to live! Damn what a mess. But anywayz after that we went to the Amsterdam Arena because the cinema was there aswell. Down there i got the pleasure of meeting rob d and Pegla joined us. On to see the movie. What a great movie. The details in the movie are super and the rest of the movie is super aswell. I love it. After that we drove home

Eek! It's a Wolfox in Amsterdam!
Ow and saturday i got the tanidareal prints back from the photoshop and they have frames now! They look great like this. I dont have a lot of art well not a lot, almost none so the ones that i have should get a decent frame and these 2 have one now. Care to see? Come and watch!
So i think this post is long enough for now.... Sun is shining and the dishes still standing on the table.... argh some washing up to do!

fruit flies
My kitchen has been invaded. Fruit flies were pestering me in my presence. Off course, this being MY kitchen (despite being technically incorrect), I did not let them bother me. However, this little infestation was being annoying, so it was time to clean stuff up.
I easily found their main objective. My trash bin. Since it was already filling up rather nicely, I tossed the lot out. I also got some cleaning vinegar (which is basically the `strong' version of the kitchen variant) which I used to clean up the rest.
After I was done, there still were some of these damned flies around. As to be expected, but not as desired. So I went on to the internet and found some site roughly dubbed "grandma's pest eradication site' (it looked better in Dutch), I learnt that they actually like vinegar. Darn. Maybe they made an exception for the strong version I use, because my kitchen is almost free of flies now. I just hope I don't end up in a black kitchen tomorrow. The flies were also attacking my computer desk (which I sometimes use as dinner table too), so I cleaned that as well, only this time I didn't use vinegar.
I read on the site they don't like ammonia. Which is good, because I do like it. I'm went out trying to get some but the supermarket was closed. Oh well..., tomorrow.

After some phone calls with the park manager of the Efteling I still have no answer.... *sigh*
The park manager has seen pictures of outings we made and we looked a lot more professional as what he had in mind so now he and the parks entertainment team will decide about it. That doesn't look that good but i still have hope.....Hope you help hoping with me!

The milk fox?
Hello there Dutchfurs,
I've got a problem and maybe someone here can help. You see I've got my holidays scheduled August 23rd-September 7th. I've got a large gap within this schedule, during the course of Eurofurence in which I've got nowhere to go and I'd hate to go home. What I would like to do is find a friendly diary farmer who would accept a helping paw on my behalf for a few days, during which I can learn a few things about diary farming and cow handling, which does interest me a lot but which I'm unable to explore in my domestic environment. Any help would be good, contacts and references, websites and email addresses, tips and hints...
Many thanks in advance,
Tervicz, Belgian fox
Hallo daar Dutchfurs,
Alle hulp is welkom. Contacten, referenties, websites en email, advies die mij op weg kan helpen...
Alvast bedankt,

Obituary of the late Mr. Common Sense
Stolen From
maltrayfox:
Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as criminals received better treatment than their victims.
Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement..
Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, I Want It Now, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim.
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on.

What is it with these deleted entries? Who deletes them? I mean, some people do not want to be confronted with certain types of material. I'm one of those people, however, the material I don't want to see are of this kind. "(Deleted entry in ...", "this journal has been deleted", "The requested URL was not found on this server", "404: File not found".
Do you delete your own stuff (IE from LiveJournal)? If so, why? Please tell me because I'm getting close to building a track-n-download-asap script. Let me know if this is a bad idea

Ok as some of you might know already there is a chance that "de Efteling" will let us in. Now don't get all bouncy nothing is sure yet. I spoke with a lady on the phone and see says as long as we don't interfere with the Parks theme's or the guests all should be ok. Now i have send a mail with some photo's in it to them and have to wait what they say. I want to have an official confirmation that we can get into the park!
But.....
If I get the confirmation we need a date to make this happen and some other organisation stuff. If you would like to come to the NOT YET official meeting send me an e-mail. As long as there is no date set I know its hard to plan anything but I just need a view on the number of people coming this is something the park would like to know aswell.
So waiting for a confirmation and the mails for possibles attendees.
Hope to hear from you!
